Since I have no self-control when it comes to make-up, today I am going to present you my Kevyn Aucoin haul and my first impressions. Let’s dive in:
- Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow in Natura
It’s a natural and neutral colur blush with fine glitter in it. I used it as a blush and it wasn’t really my type because of the glitter in it, I prefer matte blushes. I also tried using it as a highlighter, but the color is too dark for my skin tone, but I’m sure it would look great on somebody else. I am planning on using it as an eyeshadow as I love the way the micro-glitter is reflecting the light. It has 4g and it retails for £27.
- Kevyn Aucoin The Matte Lip Colour in For Keeps
For Keeps is a peachy color with a full coverage and lovely fruity smell. The finish is semi-matte, and it is staying on for 4-5 hours without retouch. The lipstick has 3.5g and it retails for £33.
- The Eyeliner/Smudger Brush
The brush is really small, and I find it perfect for traveling as it is also dual-sided. On one side we have the smudging tool which I usually use on my lower lash line to blend my eyeliner and then apply eyeshadows over it for a longer application. On the other side, there is the eyeliner brush, that I prefer to use for my eyebrow pomade as it gives me the perfect amount of control. The brush retails for £27.
- The Brow Gel Pencil in Sheer Warm Blonde
It’s a dual-sided pencil, on one side we have a small angled brush that I don’t think I will be using as I prefer a spoolie with my brow products, and on the other side, we have the brow liner. The brow liner it’s wax-based and the color it’s really sheer. I use it as a primer for my brow pencil as it keeps the brow hairs in place or I use it when I’m going for a natural look to give me a bit of color and to hold my brows in place. It has 1.2 g and it retails for £20.
- The Precision Brow Pencil in Warm Blonde
Again, a dual-sided micro-pencil with a spoolie at on end. The pencil it’s really thin and the pigmentation is amazing. What I don’t like about it is that it feels really hard on the skin and it’s not creamy at all. It is really resistant. I would use it to create the illusion of hairs on a spare eyebrow. It has 0.10g and it retails for £19.
- The Eye Pencil Primatif in Defining Navy
A gorgeous, pigmented navy color. The application is smooth, and the color can be blended with the smudging tool included. It has 1.05g and it retails for £19.
- The Precision Eye Definer in Stealth
A lovely dark turquoise color. The pencil is automatic, the color is extremely pigmented and has an almost a gel texture, It is not smear-proof, nor transfer-proof as it claims to be. But it is long-lasting, even on the waterline. The pencil has 0.25g and it retails for £23.
The packaging of all the products is very elegant and they are all very sturdy which is great, especially when you are as clumsy as I am, ha-ha.
That’s all for today, please let me know is the comment section if you have tried any Kevyn Aucoin products and which are your must have.
